The 3 Things That Are Sure To Cause Failure In A Network Marketing Business And How To Easily Avoid Them

Focus.

A lack of clarity and vision for the future are all too common factors for the majority’s failure in MLM. Let’s face the facts, most people don’t find the success in multi level marketing that they hoped for, because they either come into the business for the wrong reasons, they have a lack of long terms vision, or they just go about building their business without leveraging the technology that only the Internet truly affords.

When I first got started in network marketing, I was like a deer in the headlights. I was clueless about what the deciding factors were that were paramount to building either a large downline, or a large monthly five or six figure residual income.

Unfortunately, my upline had a bad case of the blind leading the blind syndrome. Why? Their results reflected it. With a few rare exceptions, most couldn’t keep their heads above the water for very long because they lacked vision.

Remember how that’s how I started this article off? For a lack of vision, the people perish. I can’t fault them. They were just doing what they were taught to do. Chasing people down in gas stations, restaurants, laundry mats etc. or hitting their family and friends up with their pitch.

Sadly, these are the real reasons most people experience utter failure in network marketing. They don’t employ leverage, automation, or technology, and consequently end up reaping what they sow.

Your focus will make your business sustainable and motivate your team once you actually get one – but if you want the best results – you’ve got to learn some fundamental marketing skills, and you’ve got to begin thinking like an entrepreneur. Meaning, you only spend your time doing the things that produce results for your home business.

I was led to believe that signing up just 2 people, who would then sign up 2 more would yield me six figure per year results, and a handsome monthly residual income to boot. The irony of all that is after a year of working my mlm business like that, I was left with a year’s earners in the neighborhood of $600. Not to mention that I actually spent over $2000 to acquire that $600.

I’m not sure what’s worse. The fact that I spent nearly four times what I made, or the fact that I refused to quit. Maybe that’s a question better reserved for my wife. lol.

Despite that, I still needed to find a way to sell products, sign up distributors, and make a minimum of five figures per month. Interestingly enough, I stumbled across the secret online.

Once I understood that the real business building power was sitting within my fingertips the whole time, I began using the internet to build my network marketing opportunity to grow an explosively successful downline, and sell more product than I ever thought possible.

If we decide to bring things back to the basics, and use a clear focus on achieving our goals while levering technology, we’ll find what we were looking for all along.

How To Use The ‘Slight Edge’ To Explode Your Business

Now you may be asking yourself ‘what is the slight edge, and why should I use it?’ That’s a great question and I have a great answer: because when you learn what the principle of the slight edge is and begin to use it every single day, your business will begin to explode before your very eyes.

The 5 Most Glaring Mistakes New Marketers Are Making

I wanted to share something that has been on my mind for a while, and that’s the 5 biggest reason I see people fail in network marketing , MLM, direct, and every other home based business out there. Sure, there are tons of reasons, but these are the most glaring mistakes I see newbies (and not so newbies) make…

1) Thinking a company, product, or opportunity is the answer to their problems. In reality, none of those things by themselves can ‘replace the pain.’ The truth is, people need to grow as individuals AND as entrepreneurs BEFORE they should expect to see their businesses flourish.

What exactly does that mean? It means you MUST embrace the fact that there will be new skills to learn, and new ways of doing things. Nothing worth having comes without some sacrifice, so get ready to be consistently investing in your self and your skills!

2) People think ‘plug and play’ systems will solve all their problems. Too many good and well meaning people think that plugging into pre made sales and marketing systems will replace their need to work hard. To achieve anything worthwhile, you must accept the fact that while systems and tools can give you a substantial advantage when starting out a new business, you will still need to commit to that business and work it on a daily basis.

3) Buying leads and/or cold calling. Sadly, I used to subscribe to this madness, but in the end, all I did was end up broke, frustrated, and exhausted from the endless hours of calling people who had no clue how I got their phone number! Save yourself the utter misery and expense and do things the easy way. Learn what Attraction Marketing is all about and begin t draw people to YOU based on the value you offer THEM.

4) People have unrealistic expectations when it comes to income especially when first starting out online. Routinely, I see people think that they’re going to earn $50K a month just a few months from first starting a business. While it is possible to earn that kind of money within 6 months of starting, most believe they don’t need any start up capital (it’s unreasonable to think $100 start up money will suddenly make you $50K a month in 6 months!)

5) People thinking that personal branding is NOT required. This is one of the most crucial components to seeing real success online. Personal branding had helped me have HUGE back end conversions over the years. Unfortunately, for those who ignore this aspect of their business, usually don’t stay in business for very long, or make far less than they otherwise could have.

Building a business online is simple, straightforward, and a lot of fun! I GET to do this….Building my own business is not like work-it’s like play for me ;) The cool thing, is, this kind of play pays GIANT REWARDS!!

To Your Success,
Brian Magnosi
